Tables are popular DIY crafts. Even if you buy a table, you often end up having to assemble it yourself, though that is far easier than engaging in actual woodworking (in theory, anyway. With some of those assemble-it-yourself pieces, it might be easier to just build something from scratch than to try to work out the directions).
Wood scraps were just going to be thrown away, so why not rescue some to create a cool new piece of furniture? The DIYer was selective though, only picking pieces that seemed a good (and approximately equal) size and length. You see, they had an idea in mind before the process even started, so for the scrap, they knew exactly what they were looking for. What they did with all these collected scraps is absolutely amazing. You are guaranteed to have never seen a coffee table quite like this before. Bernforever did an amazing job. To see for yourself, check out the pictures and explanations below.
There was lots of leftover wood scraps where this DIYer worked, so they rescued some from the trash to build a table. Mahogany, Cedar. and Walnut were used.
They made the frame for the base and the table top. These pieces are 40 inches long.
The corners were cut to random lengths. This all comes together in the finished project, trust me.
After the sides, it was time to begin building the table top. Here’s the start.
